I had one more set of photos to showcase my Calligraphy (hair)Cut, and I just had to share them since I couldn’t choose between the photos! As other fashion bloggers will attest to, you have to be completely oblivious to the people around you when you’re shooting photos in wide open locations. “Oh don’t mind me over here…” Totally #worthit to capture the moment (and the haircut).
Want to know more about the Calligraphy Cut? Contact Salon Coccole for an appointment! You can also find them on Facebook and Instagram. You can also read more about Calligraphy Cut via their website. My hair was cut and styled by Donna and my girl Shana does my “ombre/balayage with a twist” color; both can be found at Salon Coccole.
Sorry to say I am late to the #monthlymani party this month because I’ve been so sick 😦 But, the show must go on! And nails must be painted! Here’s my #monthlymani in a #mayflowers pattern. I used the Caption Art Screens to stamp on a flower print. I’m still finessing the art of nail stamping, but it’s super fun and I definitely recommend trying it if you do your own nails! Be sure to head over to Kristi to check out her #mayflowers #monthlymani!
Please note, I did not receive financial compensation to post a review of my haircut. I did receive my cut complementary, but per Fashion Huntress standards, the views and opinions are my own! Oh- the outfit! Top: Ann Taylor, Pants: NYDJ, Necklace: Bauble Bar, Shoes: Sam Edelman
Is anyone else watching Grace and Frankie? Shout-out to Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin for being the most fabulous ladies in television right now, if you ask me! I love love love Jane Fonda’s classic style (and attitude) in the show. In an ode to Ms. Fonda, I’m popping my collared shirt collar and sporting a scarf today…and a ‘don’t take no for an answer’ attitude!

If you saw the last post, you’ll notice that I basically am going to post the same shoes in every vacation post! While I wear heels most days at work (when I’m really not walking much at all), when walking around on vacation (and when running errands, for example), I absolutely must must must wear comfortable footwear! I’ve suffered from plantar fasciitis a number of times and swear by my Crocs sandals for long distances. If you’ve ever been in the same foot boat, I recommend trying out Crocs. They really have come a long way from their standard clogs to having shoes that pair pretty easily with dresses. And no, I’m not paid by Crocs 🙂 Have a good one, readers!

It’s #monthlymani time again! This month we picked a #Aprilshowers theme. I created a cloud theme by sponging color on my nails with a tissue; super easy! Be sure to head over to Kristi to check out her #Aprilshowers #monthlymani! And join us next month for the #Mayflowers theme!

Fashion Huntress tip: Winter, spring, who knows anymore?! But I’m enjoying looking through the ‘end of season’ sales that are happening right now! The sales at J Crew and Banana Republic are both great right now, if you’re looking for any winter items. For boots, the sale prices at 6pm.com are reaching seasonal lows!

I tried out the new Orly Breathable polish, which is a nail treatment and color; I have to say, readers, I am a fan! My sad peeling winter nails are much happier with breathable polish on them and seemed much stronger once removed. The color options are fab too! You can check it out here: http://www.orlybeauty.com/breathable-treatment-color.html
Despite now having blogged for years, this is the first time I managed to 1) photograph my outfit Monday-Saturday and 2) dress up every day! Usually by Friday, I’m mentally about two steps away from yoga pants and a sweatshirt at work, but it was fun to challenge myself to rotate through some oldies but goodies in my closet. I haven’t posted on each of these outfits individually yet, but here’s a preview of what’s to come…! Have a fabulous weekend, readers!
Anyone else challenging themselves to a closet rotation challenge? I vote, go for it!

Happy heart day, readers! I’m thrilled to run with a theme- are you surprised? So, I pulled out my heart button down and new red Milly coat I got online at ThredUp. As I mentioned in my last couple of posts, this was the item that I really love that I got at Thred up. I am exceptionally thrilled with the quality of the coat; it was exactly as listed. Happy heart, indeed. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and is able to spend time time with friends, family, or on their own- just enjoying the day!

Woo hoo! It’s #monthlymani time! The theme this month is Modern Romance. I found this fab Christian Siriano polish set at Walgreens for $5 (!!) and was so pumped, I used every color to create an updated ombre look. A photo of the set is pictured above, as are a few of my fav Heart Day items…and of course, my #monthlymani. Be sure to head over to Kristi to check out super chic and modern mani themed nails!
It’s about that time again- I’m celebrating my blogaversary and birthday! When I think back over the past few years, it’s amazing how many things have changed since I started the Fashion Huntress. Despite all these changes, the one constant has been the endlessly positive support of the people around me, including, you, the readers of this humble endeavor. This blog is a true labor of love and it’s been so wonderful to get to know people near and far through the adventure. Shout-out to all of you, and my loving friends and family, as we cheers to another year!
