We’ve gotten quite a bit of snow lately, as you can see from my photos! I have an annoying (to me) fear of driving in snow, but am feeling hopeful that I can overcome it this year! My husband is definitely encouraging me to drive whenever it starts to snow so he can help me conquer my fear, but I manage to come up with a lot of excuses of “being busy” (“Oh…erm…I have to go organize my socks…”). Ah well, it’s good to set goals, right? 2017! The year of not being scared of driving in snow!

Fashion Huntress tip: People often tell me how their shoes have been stained by salt or snow. The key is to pack your shoes in your bag and wear commuting shoes or boots when outside. I always, always wear snow boots, y’all since ‘the fall of 2013.’ One time, the ONE time I didn’t in 2013, I wiped out in the middle of the city on a patch of ice and hurt my ankle (and my shoes). So, safety first: wear snow boots, and pack your heels!

I live in Tennessee but I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana so I know how to drive in snow. I don’t like to, but if I have to get out I do. Well down here if they say it is going to snow tomorrow the close the schools before there is one drop of snow! So just take your time and go slow.
