Fashion Huntress tips:

1) The summer sales are definitely in full swing. I found these shoes just the other day at Banana Republic, sitting in a giant stack of shoes. The key to true sale hunting is “the quick scan.” Items are often grouped with all different colors, styles, and prices- and you essentially want to isolate first the best prices, then evaluate the finds. That process is the quick scan. It doesn’t take more than a few moments to just scan quickly by price and then pull the finds from there. While I don’t agree with buying something just because “it’s cheap,” I do think the quick scan basically rules out anything that you will inevitably want to get despite being “above the budget” and can help you stay on target.

2) Summer is flying by, and it is already time for some festive 4th of July nails! You can see them below :)!

  1. Awesome pictures! I love how you’ve captured the light. Summer sales are the best, love to shop them but hate that it reminds me that fall is just around the corner:(

  2. Wow, looks like you have lost weight. You look really good, Melissa!!! LOVE that outfit except for those shoes. Um, so not me and they do not look comfortable at all. Hope your marriage has the stars yet in your eyes. 🙂 ❤
