I’ve been a fan of Marimekko for years, so I was thrilled to see the Marimekko for Target collaboration this week! The Marimekko for Banana Republic line stole my heart a couple of years ago, so I had high hopes for this collection. While the line was mostly geared towards the outdoors (gardening, patio decor, and bathing suits), there were some clothing pieces that really stole the show. All in all, I am happy to report that the Marimekko line at Target is indeed quite merry.
Top: Marimekko for Target ($20)
Pants: Marimekko for Target ($30)
Necklace: thrift ($3)
Shoes: hard to remember the price…so many years ago! But they are Chinese Laundry via Nordstrom Rack
Fashion Huntress tips:
1) This collection isn’t selling out as quickly as others have in the past; that’s good news, though, because if you still want some of the pieces, you can find them online! The link is below. The sizing was a little off for me to calculate online (especially the pants), so I ordered two sizes and just returned the size that didn’t fit. I would recommend doing the same if you really want to get the right fit!
2) Many of the clothing pieces could easily be worn as everyday attire, or as beach cover-ups. So, think out of the box when looking at the pieces! If you’re loving the prints, but not the clothes, the outdoor patio and home pieces really are great. It doesn’t look as though you can purchase them online, but you can do a search online and see if the items are still in a store near you.
It’s monthly mani time! The theme this month was artist inspired! I painted my nails in a Jackson Pollock theme 🙂 check out the other ladies via their blog links below!
Did anyone else check out the Marimekko for Target line? What did you think of it? Thanks so much for stopping by, readers! I appreciate it so very much!
