Woo hoo! Well, my closet is slowly being organized and unpacked in our new place and it’s so much easier to FIND THINGS! Ha, what a novelty, right? There’s something really fun (at least to me) about starting over and organizing yourself afresh. Pull out the label maker, some music, and a little spare time- it’s a party.
Dress: thrift ($10, retails for unknown!)
Blazer: Elizabeth and James via Rue La La ($55 marked down from $500)
Belt: J Crew (so long ago, can’t even remember!)
Tights: Nordstrom Rack ($5 marked down from approx $15)
Shoes: Ivanka Trump via DSW ($15 marked down from approx $120)
Necklace: Pam Hiran via Anthropologie ($15 marked down from $60)
Bracelets: Alex and Ani for Disney (+handmade bracelet)
Fashion Huntress tips:
1) This is my first pair of Ivanka Trump shoes, and thus far, I am quite pleased with the quality! They are quite comfortable, the heel height is perfect for longer days, and the sole is padded. I’ll report back on their longevity. But so far, I’m into them! On another note, I posted my Jessica Simpson shoes a couple of weeks ago. Readers, wow, really, they are FALLING APART after about three wears. Unreal. I’m hoping I got a defect, but yikes, quality control is not looking good so far for them. Pictured below:
The soles are actually pulling apart…either way, I’m curious to hear other’s feedback. Perhaps this was an outlier pair?? I reached out to their customer service, so hopefully I will hear back. I’ll report back, readers!
2) The necklace for the above outfit isn’t clearly visible in some of the photos, so I’ve posted a close-up below from a previous outfit/styling. I really love the uniqueness of the jewelry at Anthropologie. They seem to use a lot of local artists and really produce some great pieces. The prices, of course, can be a bit high. However, their online sale section generally lists the best prices on their jewelry. I’ve found the clearance jewelry is often sold-out in stores, so online is likely your best bet.
Anyone else have experience with Jessica Simpson shoes? How is the quality? Thanks so much for stopping by, readers! I appreciate it so very much!

Love those Ivanka Trump shoes! She makes the prettiest things! I haven’t had much experience with Jessica Simpson shoes but I can only assume they aren’t very high quality. I think they’re sold in Macys and Dillards though… you’d think they’d be more conscious of it.
Ditto! I was really disappointed but it seems like some people feel like they are good quality- who knows?? I heard back from the company though and they said they wouldn’t do anything to fix or replace them- ha! okay…
