ready in red (for spring)

Well, now that the holidays have passed, I’m ready for spring! Ha! No such luck, I suppose. So, I’m channeling spring in florals mixed in with a little (lot) festive winter reds. There’s no rhyme or reason to the look…which is perhaps why I love it so!

“Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.” -Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll

Pants: Gap ($8 marked down from $55)

Fashion Huntress tips:

1) I can’t say that this outfit had much rhyme or reason (as noted above), but I think that’s the fun in pattern mixing and matching. These days, basically anything goes. I tried to keep the look coherent by wearing red on top and bottom, and then floral on top and bottom. But really, there’s no formula needed! If you want more pattern mixing inspiration, you can use the search bar on the right side of the blog and search “pattern mixing” to see other looks!

2) If you have followed the blog, you know I’m a big fan of Alex + Ani-especially when Alex + Ani teamed up with Disney to make some fab all-grown-up magical charms. My two favorites are pictured here; both of which I picked up in Disney World during a visit last year. However, they are now available for purchase online. So, you can skip the trip to Disney (I suppose, much more cost effective) and grab them online if you’re interested! Online: http://www.disneystore.com/alex-and-ani/mn/1014204/

Thanks so much for stopping by readers! I appreciate it so very much!

  1. Liking this bold and colourful look, sometimes styling needs no rhyme and reason, it can be fun to just go with a feeling! I like the way you are willing in better weather with your clothes! And I’m alllll about a good Print Clash! ( :

    1. lol I totally am a Disney fan since I was a little girl :)! Maybe that’s why I love the bracelets so much- they remind me of happy times :)!! Xo
