surprising first snow (+giveaway winner!)

Call it denial (because it definitely is), but when I heard “lots of snow was coming,” I scoffed. Psssht, it can’t be that much this early in the season. Or can it? Well, as you can see from the photos, lots of snow was coming. And indeed it did. I’m using this as an excuse to start my Christmas music and lighting my pine scented candles early…and a reason to pull out a snowflake sweater. Surprising snow, indeed!

    We got a big dump of snow on Thursday and over weekend too… I don’t mind the snow I just wish the temps didn’t have to drop so low 😦

  12. LOVE those jeans and they are exactly what I am looking for, Melissa. What style are they and can I buy them online? Do the sizes run true? I’m not joking … I honestly have had jeans on my list to buy! Love the sweater too! You look so cute! And snow? Oh wow! What I would give for some of that white stuff here to get some pics! Soon enough … After the winter we had last year, I think I will take no snow as a Blessing. I was told by one of my followers that this Saturday, which is the 28th, is the first year anniversary of that horrendous snow storm we had that dumped 7 feet of snow on us in 3 days. Oh I do NOT want to ever live through that again!!

    1. Oh my!! I hope you do NOT get that snow again!! I remember your photos from last year!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, btw! 🙂

      The jeans! So, I got them at Gap and you can buy them online! They have descriptors on their website that detail the fit (i.e. “relaxed through the hip” “narrow through waist”). I find the descriptors pretty helpful- I know that I generally won’t fit into anything that is narrow through the hips, so I always wear their “relaxed fit” for that reason. I realllllly have a hard time buying pants online, but I have really started to rely on size charts on sites much more, and I found that if my measurements are accurate, generally the size charts are really helpful. I think Gap jeans are great jean options for their price point and quality- and you can always return them if the fit isn’t quite right- or even order a couple of sizes and just ship back whatever doesn’t fit. I hope you find a perfect pair!! 🙂
