Fashion Huntress tips:

1) Everyone knows how I feel about blazers, but even I was surprised at how often I wear my black and white blazer! I always say that a black blazer is the most versatile piece, but I think a black and white blazer is a close second! I can’t remember the last time I purchased a blazer anywhere other than a thrift/charity shop. Aside from button downs, blazers are probably the second easiest item to thrift. I like to target a price of anywhere from $3-$10 for a thrift blazer.

2) The penny skirt returns! I last featured this skirt in winter (photo below). I really love the long length of the skirt because it’s a perfect length for winter and fall, but still versatile enough for a cool summer day. This particular skirt also has a wrap front (also featured below), which makes it particularly versatile for summer, as it adds a little more breeziness to the look.

  1. Lovely quote at the beginning of this post! That skirt is absolutely beautiful and like you said so versatile. I’m currently obsessed with solid tops because they allow me to wear all of my statement necklaces which have been neglected for a little while.

  2. I love the combination of black, white and red, when done well- it always packs a punch. Thats a great All Year round skirt you’ve got, with a great print. You’ve reminded me, i really need to get a black blazer…..

  3. Aah the return of yhe prnny skirt!! I still cannot believe the price! I hear your about the versatility of a good black blazer, i wish I could still fit into mine, I would pair it with just about anything! I have been hearing some awesome stuff about Lucky boots, do you live yours? I might then go hunt some down at the Rack!
    xoxo

  4. I couldn’t agree more blazers are a closet staple. I love my white one too but I just wish it wasn’t such a magnet for dirt!lol
