surprising patterns from (jc)penney (+giveaway winner!)

So, there I was, going through my mail, when I came across a coupon for $10 off a $10 purchase for JCPenney. Huh. Now, readers, I personally hadn’t been to JCPenney in at least twenty years. But, clever, clever JCPenney, perhaps they knew that. Perhaps they didn’t. But either way, that enticed me to check out what JCPenney is up to these days. Turns out they’ve got a few great lines there; my favorite of which was definitely the Nicole by Nicole Miller line. I’m proud to say this entire look came from JCPenney. First time visitor in quite some time, but JCPenney (cue the old tagline), I like your style.

Top: Nicole by Nicole Miller via JCPenney ($5, marked down from $40)

Skirt: Nicole by Nicole Miller via JCPenney ($20, marked down from $45)

Blazer: Zara via thrift ($6, retails for approx $150)

Shoes: Franco Sarto via Nordstrom Rack (too many years ago to remember the price)

Bracelet: Kenneth Jay Lane Couture via Rue La La ($15 marked down from $150)

  1. Thank you Melissa & Anne. I am soooooo excited!!!! 😀 In other news I love your skirt and top. I can’t believe they are from JCP. Love the mix of the vibrant prints together. You are great when it comes to mixing prints!!! Thank you both again…you made my day !!!

  2. Congrats to the winner! Love essential oils, just wished my allergies did too😖
Cute two look! Perfect look to take you from day to night. I can’t say that I’ve been to JCP, mainly because we don’t have them here in Canada. But the next time I’m in U.S. I will have to check them out.

    xo, Jackie

  4. I love how you combined the top with the pencil skirt. At first I thought you were wearing a dress because both prints mix perfectly! Incredible outfit and price 😉

  5. Beautiful Outfit! Love the pairing of both of these items. I could of sworn it was a dress until I read the description of the pieces and how much you paid for them. I seriously need to take you shopping with me. You always find the best deals!
