feeling very floral

IMG_4100
There’s little bits of grass showing around town, and my heart is a-flutter, readers. I took inspiration from Mother Nature and wore little bits of floral on my feet and around my neck. I don’t know about anyone else, but sometimes it feels like I’m holding my breath through the cold winters and dark days, until I can take that first deep breath outside in the spring air, and exhale…and it sort-of feels amazing. Perhaps this is why spring is known as the season of renewal.
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Fashion Huntress tips:
1) I decided it was high time I got into silk scarves. They are endlessly classy, chic, and timeless! If you’re a beginner at thrifting, silk scarves really are a super easy item to thrift! Most consignment and thrift stores stock silk scarves anywhere from $3-$30, depending on the store and brand. I take mine to the dry cleaners for their first wearing, and then just fold them up nicely after I wear them to keep them from getting too wrinkled looking. Hermes has a great app for ways in which you can style and tie silk scarves. The app is free and can be found here.
2) I’m going to be honest, readers. These shoes really are not comfortable. I think that’s the very time I’ve ever said that! But, really, they just aren’t. I think the biggest barrier is that, while they are my size, they really need some stretching out. So now I’m asking for your tips! Anyone have any suggestions!?
Anyone else have tips to stretch shoes? Thanks so much for stopping by, readers! I appreciate it so very much and have a great weekend!

    1. Awesome- thank you!! I actually need a shoe stretch…do you have any recommendations?
I know! They actually fit a little better in the store, but I’m not sure if I was just in love with the shoe, so was delirious about their fit? LOL

      1. Maybe try Amazon.com? Mine is an old family hand me down. They are great to have — save having to make a trip to the shoe repair!

  1. This is so springy I LOVE it! I’m loving this warmer weather that we’re getting and this is the perfect way to celebrate it. Those shoes are killer! Even if they’re not comfortable. Because, often, the most gorgeous of shoes are pretty high on the uncomfortable list. The best recommendation I have for stretching them is the alcohol suggestion you’ve already gotten. Beyond that, I really don’t know. =\

  2. I saw something on YouTube about putting them in the freezer overnight and then using a blow dryer on them, but I never actually tried it 🙊 hope you manage to stretch them! 😙😙😙

  3. Omg omg omg omg…heavy breathing over those shoes. I only kinda partially read what you said about them being uncomfortable because I wasnt ready to hear that. 😜😍 they.are.amazing.
