I’m generally in the camp of limiting a lot of holiday spirit before Thanksgiving, but lately I just can’t stop myself! I’m already listening to holiday music and putting up holiday decorations. Poor Thanksgiving. But you can’t really get into a Thanksgiving themed outfit quite like you can a holiday themed outfit (ie lots of gold and glitter). This is my happy pre-holiday look, both pre-Thanksgiving and pre-holidays. Even thought it’s a little early, I’m loving every minute of it.

Fashion Huntress tips:
1) It can be really challenging to find tulle skirts at a decent price, for whatever the reason! Finding a tulle skirt around $20 took me a while, but I found a bunch at Choies. If you find that the tulle skirts you are finding are too long, you can always consider shortening them on your own. I had to modify the one I found at Nordstrom Rack by cutting off approximately 8 inches of tulle. I like the long versions, but liked the shorter version for work. Either way, I’m here to say that you can find an affordable tulle skirt and you can make it work appropriate!
2) Speaking of searching high and low, would you believe that I found these boots in the kids’ section at the Bloomingdale’s Outlet? I’ve read in the past that if you anywhere from size 8.5 and smaller, you can generally fit in kid shoes. I never believed it, until I found this pair! It’s true, readers, it’s actually true! So, why not check out the kids’ section next time you’re at a department store? Just look for the sizes that look similar to your shoe size (hold up an adult shoe next to them to compare). You might be surprised at what you find!
Anyone else loving tulle skirts lately? Wearing them to work? Wearing kids’ shoes? Thanks so much for stopping by, readers! I appreciate it so much! Happy Monday!
Love it! Great job shortening the tulle skirt…I’ve been searching for an affordable one lately but to no avail so i’ll have to check this one out! The site The Girl That Loves has wonderful tulle skirts but they can be pricey. Love this work friendly tulle look! (and super tip on the shoes also!) xx..Cortneybre…

Beautiful , I like these soft colors !
Hello beautiful tulle skirt!! Loving this look👌!
I’m guilty of shopping the kids sections for cheap runners that I can use at the lake 🙂 I also shop their section for thin layering tank tops and plain t-shirts, their half the cost and the exact same as ours 🙂

I love tulle skirts, on others that is. I have been on fence about it and you have completely converted me. I love this part casual yet feminine and chic look. Thanks for sharing. http://voices-in-my-head.net/
I’m so glad! I was on the fence too, but I think it can be done!

Lovely outfit! ^_^
i used to have winter boots from Zara Kids. 😀 unfortunately they broke about 1,5 year later, supposedly because they were meant for kids (with less body weight than mine…). or maybe winters here are just too damn long that i wore those boots too much.
Ha ha I’m guessing the latter- that’s what happens to boots here too~!!
So festive and so cute!! LOVE the tulle skirt and the lacey top..totally ready for the holiday seasons!!!
So cute you belong on the top of the tree. I’m going to buy my tree asap. I love stringing baubles and trinkets from tree limbs and human limbs! 🙂
I can’t believe those are kids shoes?!
Ah Christmas… I should do a “Christmas in New Zealand” post soon. I pretend it doesn’t exist here because, well, it doesn’t really.
Please do!! Now you’ve got a wool and a Christmas post on your list please 🙂
