Well, per usual, someone is going to have to conduct some sort of intervention with me in regards to my new obsession/love: the windy city wonder woman cape. Seriously, for $25, this cape is pure joy and worth every penny. It’s indoor/outdoor, and basically a stylish fleece blanket that is socially appropriate to wear in public. Okay okay, enough about the cape. I’m also sporting one of my other absolute favorites: my butterfly metamorphosis DVF dress. I’m realizing that most of my articles of clothing have adjectives, names, or titles…I don’t know, readers…I think I’m in too deep with fashion (or just deep enough), but there’s no turning back now…this is my windy wonder woman cape in cahoots with my butterfly metamorphosis dress.

Dress: Diane Von Furstenberg via Nordstrom Rack ($115, paid $70 with gift card, marked down from $365)
Necklace: Anthropologie ($14 marked down from $70)
Tights: TJ Maxx ($5 marked down from $15)
Heels: Nine West via Savers ($8, retail for $100)
Cape: Nordstrom Rack ($25 marked down from $50)
Work look:
Cardigan: Banana Republic ($18 marked down from $70)
Flats: DSW (long time ago…maybe $15?)
Fashion Huntress tips:
1) With the heels, this dress looked great, but potentially a little too dressy/night looking for work. I added flats and a cardigan during the day for a day look. As you can see here, the dress looks complete different with a cardigan and flats:
For evening, I just put on my heels and ditched my cardigan. Super easy transition!
2) I last featured this dress in fall with purple tights and boots. As you can see below, this dress also looks completely different with colored tights and boots. Never underestimate the power of swapping out basic accessories (tights, necklace, shoes) to make a completely new look with your other pieces!
Anyone else equally as obsessed with capes? Other trends this fall? Thanks so much for stopping by readers! I appreciate it so much!
