I found this brightly colored dress on clearance at TJ Maxx. Somehow, this Calvin Klein dress was marked down to $13! I am not sure why it was reduced so much, but I decided it was best not to question and just grab it! You really cannot tell it is one shouldered with the blazer on top, which keeps it completely work appropriate.
As you can see below, however, this dress is actually one shouldered, which is perfect for an after-work dinner and summer. Between the shoes and the dress, this outfit cost $21, but retailed at $190!
For accessories, I added my bracelet from Africa (an awesome gift from my parents), watch, patent leather belt, and my ankle strap heels.
Dress: Calvin Klein at TJ Maxx ($13 marked down from approx $90)
Blazer: Forever 21 (approx $20)
Shoes: Nine West ($6 marked down from approx $100 via consignment)
Belt: From another dress I got on clearance a few years ago
Fashion Huntress tips:
1) I was just chatting with my mom last week about Calvin Klein dresses because they never seem to fit me! However, when I saw this dress on clearance, I decided to try it on anyway. I am glad I did try it on because it fit perfectly! If you follow my blog, you know that I have a general rule of thumb to try things on even if I am not sure if they will fit. Additionally, I try not to rule out any designers or stores even if I have not had a ton of success in the past. You just never know and open minds can result in the best bargains!
2) This dress, initially, did not look work appropriate due to the one-shouldered style. However, with a blazer, it looked completely work appropriate. If you want to transition your dresses from day to night, consider adding a cardigan or blazer. Adding a layer on top of dresses can make them much more versatile.

Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx also tend to have a good collection of Calvin Klein dresses.
Happy Sunday! Thanks for reading- and happy bargain hunting!
