remix and rematch, part 3

It is time for another Fashion Huntress edition of remix and rematch! For these posts, I like to show how I rotate pieces to create new looks. Remixing is one of my favorite budget-conscious ways to stay fashionable without even opening my wallet.

If you want to see my previous editions of remix and rematch, you can click here and here.

Without further ado, here we go!

Fashion Huntress tips:

1) You really cannot go wrong with black patent leather heels. Kitten heels are a comfortable heel option for work, and are easily paired with other pieces because of their color versatility. Basic black heels are fairly easy to find on sale, if you keep an eye out for them. When I saw this pair marked down to $12 from $99, I got them immediately! The DSW clearance section is a great place to look, especially when you find a pair with the magical yellow sticker (80% off the clearance price)!

2) I actually have the Banana Republic cardigan pictured above in three colors. When you find a staple at a good price, consider getting it in various colors. A 100% wool cardigan for a great price ($18 marked down from $70!) is a staple that you can wear year round.

Here it is in purple:

And, here it is in red:

In addition to wearing the cardigans unbuttoned and open, as you can see in the pictures above, I also wear them buttoned up. Shown in the pictures of the black cardigan, these pieces also serve as a shirt, versus simply a cardigan. Investing in good quality cardigans makes perfect fashion and budget sense, especially when you can get a few at a great price! Your dresses and tank tops will thank you when you can wear them at work with your cardigans.

Happy weekend, readers! Thanks for stopping by!
