(rhinestone) belt it out

If you’ve been following this blog, you know that I have a strong affection for denim shirts at work. Because jeans are not allowed at my work, I get my denim fix through my shirts!

I paired my denim shirt with black dress pants. To keep it more interesting, I added a bright pink necklace and patterned belt that also had pink in it. Who doesn’t love a good work appropriate rhinestone belt? You might be saying to yourself, “I didn’t know there was such a thing.” Me either, until I found this gem at Ann Taylor for $5.

Add some heels, and it’s a party. A “denim shirt-stilettos-hot pink necklace-rhinestone belt” party at work. Hard to believe that dream could come true, but it sure did.

Fashion Huntress tips:

1) In all honesty, I was not quite sure how I was going to wear the belt pictured here because it has a bright pattern with so many different colors. I figured I would at least be able to wear it with a fancy black dress. For $5, I decided it was worth a shot to try and wear it at work. Turns out, it was so easy to wear it! I kept everything else simple and made the belt the focal point of the outfit. Belts are a good way to change up a look; try a bold belt and see for yourself!

2) I have been doing a ton of remixing and rematching these past two weeks! I’ll post this weekend about my heavy rotation pieces. The denim shirt and my black dress pants are getting a lot of use!

Stay tuned for my “remix and rematch part 2” this weekend! Happy Friday, all! Enjoy your day!
