Finally! It’s warm enough to wear summer dresses! The warmth might even be here to stay! I wore my Marc by Marc Jacobs hearts dress to celebrate. This dress was an awesome upscale consignment find. The tags were still attached when I found it. This dress totally deserves to be loved and worn!
The dress has ruffles, pockets, and a heart pattern. Enough said, right? For the record, it is a rare occasion that I would turn down anything with classy, work appropriate hearts and ruffles.
For work, I added a cardigan, belt, and red heels.
Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs ($23 marked down from $300)
Cardigan: Urban Outfitters ($20 marked down from approx $60)

Fashion Huntress tips:
1) Summer dresses can be easily translated to work by adding a cardigan or sweater. This dress will look great without the cardigan for nights and weekends. If heels seem too edgy for your work environment, stick with flats.
2) Look for high-end dresses in the “designer” section of your local consignment store. Many of them still have tags in my local store! This dress had actually been on the rack for two months before I found it. Thus, it had been even further reduced than when it was originally put on the rack. Admittedly, this dress looked a little baggy on the rack, but I decided to try it on anyway. A good rule of thumb is to try on anything that you like, despite what it looks like on the hanger. Do not let the rack/hanger deter you. Many pieces simply look better on a person than on a rack.
