nautical nails

I’m sure that fancy $20 nail polish brings a lot to the table in terms of nail polish qualities. I, however, enjoy a trip to my local Walgreens for nail polish.

I generally do not match my polish to every outfit, or I would be painting my nails multiple times a week! I usually just pick whatever color I like and keep it all week!

When I was putting together outfits to match my blue striped sweater (posted yesterday), I was inspired to go for a summery nautical look!

Polish pictured:
Orange color is “Sunny Side Up” from Wet and Wild ($1). The blue color is “Sail La Vie” from Sinful Colors ($1.99). Both can be found at local Walgreens. As a side note, I think it would be really fun to be the person that picks the polish names.

Fashion Huntress tips
1) I like a lot of variety in my nail polish colors. Thus, I opt for polishes that are lower in cost so I can rotate and mix and match.

2) When using a cheaper polish, I use a good quality top coat to make it last. I like Seche Vite, which is available at most mass market stores like Walgreens and Target. I’m really not a nail expert, but this strategy seems to work!
