striped summer sweater

I am all about summer sweaters once the air conditioning starts blasting at work.  I found this lightweight brightly colored summer sweater at Ann Taylor for….get ready…$4.88, marked down from $60. As my mom would say, “the price was right.” I paired it with Banana Republic dress pants, and a patterned heel.

The zipper detail on each shoulder is a great touch to add visual interest.

I previously posted about these shoes here:

Sweater: Ann Taylor ($4.88 marked down from $60)

Pants: Banana Republic ($20 marked down from approx $90)

Shoes: Lula Townsend at DSW ($12 marked down from $79)

Bracelet: gift from my parents from Africa

…and proof that my girlfriend and I are on the same wavelength (and on trend!): we both showed up to work that day in striped summer sweaters. Great huntresses think alike.

Fashion Huntress tips:

1) As you all know, a $5 price point is what my fashion dreams are made of.  This sweater was actually found separate from the sale section, on a specially marked rack that was to the side of the sale section. Look through the whole store, including all of the sale sections, to see if there is a “last reduction” section.

2) Summer sweaters are a nice alternative to cardigans during the summer months indoors at work.  I look for lightweight sweaters that are brightly colored, as opposed to dark wool, which I generally reserve for fall and winter.
