I have been on a belt kick lately, especially because I have found so many reasonably priced winners. For belts, I like to have a target price in mind of $5-$10. Very doable!
Personally, I prefer high waist belts (that belt around your rib cage) versus traditional belts (that belt around your hips). All of the belts here are for pairing with dresses and long shirts. Belts, like any other accessory, can add interest to outfits and allow for a heavier rotation of work clothes. For example, you can pair any of these belts with a black dress or a long silk top and dress pants. Go ahead, belt it out (I just cannot resist a good pun)!

Fashion Huntress tips:
1) The clearance section in any store is a good place to find belts. Often, accessories are ‘final sale’ and cannot be returned, so just try them on before you purchase them. Personally, I have a hard time visualizing what a belt will look like with any given outfit. So, normally I look around the store for something similar to what I want to wear the belt with, and then try it on with the ‘look alike’ outfit.
2) Check the tags on the belt to make sure they are not pulling on the fabric anywhere. If the tag is attached too tightly to the belt, it may leave a mark in the fabric even after the tag is taken out. If that does happen, try and gently pull around the fabric (especially if the belt is elastic, like the Ann Taylor belts) and see if you can get the threads back into place.
